Making a Category Inactive

If you find you don’t need a category currently, you can mark it as inactive.

To do this, click on Inventory in the top navigation bar, then click on Categories.

Select the category you wish to make inactive. In the Update Category screen click on Active to toggle it to Inactive and click Update.

Your category will now show as Inactive in the Categories list.

When creating or updating products, you won’t be able to assign that category to your products.
